Skiing

If you like to ski, Boston is within reach of many great slopes.  There are in fact over 70 ski areas near Boston and 10 of them can be reached in one or two hours.  You will find many great choices for all skill levels and tastes. Here are some examples.


 

Gunstock

Gunstock skiingOnly 90 minutes from Boston, Gunstock is a popular and convenient ski resort in New Hampshire. It has 55 trails and 8 lifts and has night skiing. 

 


Mount Sunappe

Mount Sunappe SkiingMount Sunappee is the largest mountain in New Hampshire.  The resort is about two hours from Boston and is particularly popular for beginner and intermediate skiers. It has 66 trails.

Sunday River

Sunday River is a major ski resort about four hours from Boston. It is a full-service resort with all the amenities, including two mountainside hotels. It has 133 runs and 18 lifts.

 

 

Killington

Killington Ski Resort, located in Vermont, is the largest resort in the entire eastern United States. It is about 3 hours from Boston and has 140 runs and 22 lifts.
