Summer is a great time at Boston colleges. There are many opportunities to expand your academic horizons, enhance your skills, and most important have fun with other students in a city that sparkles. Summer programs are offered for Highs School students, Colleges students as well as adults.
Pre-College summer programs are a wonderful opportunity for High School students to experience college life way ahead of the curve. These 2-4 week programs offer students the opportunity to take college courses and participate in fun extracurricular activities. The programs are structured to give you a realistic view of college, including staying at actual college dorms. Some of these programs can be competitive but many are not. Pre-college programs can cost an average of $2000-$4000 and some schools offer college level credits.
If you are a current college student, most schools offer a wide range of classes that you can take during the summer for credit or not. You may be able to take some classes that you missed during the school year or you may just want to brush up on some subjects. If you are an out-of-town students or an International student you will have the opportunity to study at some of Boston's most famous colleges and universities. Generally there are no strict academic requirements for summer programs, so it can be a great opportunity the be part of a unique college experience in Boston.
