Lesley University is a private university located in Cambridge. It offers bachelor’s, master's, and PhD degrees, as well as post-graduate certificates. Undergraduate students can choose from more than 20 undergraduate majors, with the most popular being education, psychology, art, liberal arts, counseling, and writing.
Adult learners will also find many opportunities at the university, which offers 90 adult bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programs, as well as advanced graduate study degrees.
An important element of an education at Lesley is its emphasis on experiential learning. This starts in the freshman year, with internships all over the Boston area. For students, this is a great opportunity to evaluate and sharpen their study and career choices. Outside learning, followed by integration and discussion in the classroom, all contribute to the development of the students, both professionally and academically. In fact, most students graduate with over 300 hours of real-world learning, giving a boost to their resume when they graduate.
Undergraduate students have many opportunities to take part in the residential life of the university, which has a strong focus on community building, personal growth, and leadership. On-campus housing ranges from traditional dormitories to apartments and Victorian-style homes.
Lesley athletics include baseball, basketball, cross-country, soccer, softball, tennis, and track for both men and women. The university is part of the NCAA Division III New England Collegiate Conference. Its athletic teams are called the Lesley Lynx.
The university has four major campuses, with three of them located in the heart of Cambridge and one in Boston. The location of the university, right next to Harvard and all the amenities of Cambridge and the city, is popular among students.
