Mount Ida College, founded in 1899, is a private college in Newton, Massachusetts offering professional, undergraduate and graduate degrees.

The school offers many practical and specialized bachelor’s degrees in more than 20 majors, including business, dental hygiene, funeral home management, veterinary sciences, fashion design, game art, interior design and much more.   

The school designed its master’s degree programs specifically for working adults. The Master of Science in Management program teaches specialized skills needed to move the student's career forward. The school offers flexible schedules that incorporate hybrid courses, combining on-line and in-class instruction.

The school's continuing education programs serve the diverse needs of students of all ages. This includes classes for working professionals to gain new job skills or switch careers. The college also offers classes that serve the needs of professionals in the dental hygiene, education and thanatology professions – with certificate and licensure programs that teach key skills for career growth.

About 60% of all students live on-campus and 40% off-campus in apartments or at home. A free campus shuttle takes students to and from the Green Line station, from where it is a short trip to Boston.
