Founded in 1906, Suffolk University is a private university located in downtown Boston. Originally founded as a law school in 1906, it is now the third-largest university in Boston.

The university offers more than 70 undergraduate programs and grants bachelor's, master's and law degrees. The most popular degrees are in business, law, communications and social sciences.

The unique downtown location offers students access to internship and co-op opportunities in a wide range of fields, helping them gain important work experience while they complete their undergraduate degree.

Students are not required to live on campus during their career at the university, and housing is determined on a first-come-first-served basis. The majority of undergraduate students live off-campus in an apartment or commute from home from the surrounding neighborhoods.

The Suffolk Rams are members of the NCAA Division III Great Northeast Athletic Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC.) The school currently hosts 13 varsity sports and provides seasonal intramural sports for its student body.

The school is located in the very center of Boston with an abundance of cultural, entertainment and recreational possibilities. It also has international campuses in Madrid and Dakar, Senegal, as well as two other regional campuses in Massachusetts.
